Microstructure Reconstruction Workshop in Günzburg
From june 1 to 3, the SPP2489 priority project held its focus group workshop on "2D/3D microstructure reconstruction" at the beautiful Schloss Reisensburg in Günzburg. From our team, Finnja Jellen and Johannes Neumann joined the event to participate in the discussions.
The workshop was packed with a great mix of scientific presentations, hands-on software sessions, and intense discussions. The main goals were to evaluate state-of-the-art approaches for metallic microstructure characterization and to start developing a community benchmark for microstructure reconstruction.
Besides the official sessions, the historic setting provided a perfect environment to catch up with our project partners, exchange ideas, and plan our next collaborative steps within the priority program. Thanks to everyone involved for a highly productive and inspiring few days!
