ICCS29 in Cagliari
The Chair of Computational Applied Mechanics (CAM) at the University of Wuppertal was proud to be represented at the 29th International Conference on Composite Structures (ICCS29), held at the University of Cagliari in Italy. Majd Tabib presented his latest research on the failure and inelastic mechanisms of thermoplastics, delivering a talk titled: “Thermodynamically Consistent Modeling of the Nonlinear Damage Behavior of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastics”.
This research is being conducted in close cooperation with the NASA Glenn Research Center. The resulting simulation tools are designed to help engineers predict structural failure more reliably, contributing significantly to the development of safer, tougher, and more sustainable high-performance structures.
Conferences like ICCS provide an important platform for the exchange of ideas, and we are thrilled to actively contribute to the advancement of computational methods in the composites field.
