CompWood 2025 in Vienna
CompWood 2025 focussed primarily on the numerical computation of wood structures on various scales.
By presenting our modeling of paper on the microstructure, we were able to provide further input. After all, the raw material of paper is processed wood fibers. Moreover, in paper, as in wood, we find a strong anisotropy of material behaviour, a very random microstructure and the challenge of mapping these properties in our models.
We enjoyed the exchange with the wood research experts and would like to thank them for the great organisation of the conference!
