CAM presents research at CHAOS 2026

From June 12-15, 2026, the Computational Applied Mechanics team participated in the hybrid 19th International Conference on Chaotic Modeling and Simulation (CHAOS 2026) held in Agios Nikolaos, Crete.

On the final conference day, Lilian Aurora Ochoa Ontiveros presented the contribution “Generalization of stiffness and mass matrices from Euler-Bernoulli to Timoshenko beam theory intro fractal space-time”, developed in collaboration with researches from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (Mexico).

The work explores the extension of classical beam theories into fractal space-time concepts, contributing to the modeling of complex mechanical systems. The conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with researchers, working in applied mathematics, modeling, simulation, and computational mechanics.

We would like to thank the organizers of CHAOS 2026 for a successful event and the inspiring scientific discussions.
