Tiansheng Liu, M. Sc.

Tiansheng Liu completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation at Southwest Jiaotong University in Sichuan, China. After completing his Bachelor's degree, he decided to go to Germany to complete his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kassel.

During his master, Tiansheng specialized in applied mechanics and completed his thesis on material models for thick film bonding at the Institute of Mechanics in the Department of Computational Mechanics at the University of Kassel. He then worked as a research assistant in the Department of Mechanics of Functional Materials at TU Darmstadt. As a result of his passion for material modeling, Tiansheng decided to join Prof. Simon's team to pursue his PhD at the University of Wuppertal.
