Nadir Kopic, M. Sc.

E-Mail: kopic[at]uni-wuppertal.de

Room: HD.02.22

Nadir grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Sarajevo. Shortly after, he decided to continue his studies in Germany. He received his master's degree in Structural Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. Driven by his passion for mechanics, he joined the research group of Prof. Jaan-Willem Simon.

Nadir's research interests include solid mechanics, finite element analysis and numerical solution methods. His primary task is to develop a robust material model capable of capturing the complex thermomechanical behavior of paper and paperboard under the influence of moisture.

Co-responsible for the following courses:

Winter semester 23/24: Civil Engineering Mechanics - Stereostatics

Sommer semester 24: Civil Engineering Mechanics - Elastostatics
