YIC 2025 in Prescara
Our team participated in the 8th ECCOMAS Young Investigators Conference (YIC 2025) in Pescara, Italy - a fantastic platform that brings together young researchers from the fields of computational mechanics and engineering.
We contributed to the mini-symposium "Multiscale Methods and Coupled Problems" organised by Dr Sonja Hellebrand (University of Duisburg-Essen), Dilek Güzel, Philipp Hartwig and Thomas Kaiser (TU Dortmund).
Lavakumar Veludandi and Reza Vafadari represented our group with two presentations:
Shakedown analysis of particle reinforced metal matrix composites (PRMMCs)
Shakedown analysis of paper and board materials.
Both presentations focused on linking multiscale modelling with lower-bound shakedown theory to predict the long-term structural response of complex materials ranging from composites to fibrous papers.
We thank the organisers and participants for this inspiring event!
